Pentucket Bank Employees Donate School Supplies to Local Non-Profits
Pentucket Bank employees hosted a Back to School Supplies Drive on Friday, August 30th at each of the Bank’s five branch locations. Participating employees brought in a minimum of three school supply items for the opportunity to wear jeans to work that day. Employees far exceeded that by donating bags of notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers and even backpacks to the drive.
The supplies were then divided among three area non-profit organizations, the Haverhill Boys & Girls Club, Girls’ Inc., both of Haverhill and the Birches Academy in Salem, NH. Pentucket Bank employees Cynthia Carver, Susan Bonenfant and Kevin Collins and Linda Palmer Griffin (respectively) serve on the Boards of these organizations and personally delivered the supplies to them on behalf of the Bank.
Pentucket Bank proud supports over 240 local not for profit organizations throughout the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire and in 2012, Pentucket Bank employees donated over 7,400 hours of volunteer time. Pentucket Bank was recently named Haverhill’s #1 Community Bank for the 5th consecutive year by the Haverhill Gazette’s annual Best Of survey.
