Pentucket Bank Announces 2021 Officer Promotions
Haverhill, MA – Scott D. Cote, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Pentucket Bank, Jonathan Dowst, President, along with the Senior Management Team of the Bank, are proud to announce the following officer level promotions that took effect January 1, 2021:
Karl Denu, Senior Vice President | Chief Financial Officer
Most recently serving in the role of SVP|Controller, Karl has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer following the retirement of former CFO, David Bennett. Karl has been with Pentucket Bank for eight years and boasts almost twenty years in the financial services industry. In his new role, Karl is serves on the Bank’s Executive leadership team and is responsible for the financial management and long term financial stability of Pentucket Bank, while overseeing and managing the Finance and Accounting department staff. Karl volunteers with the Granite United Way Income Tax Assistance Program. Originally from Wisconsin, Karl currently resides in Derry with his wife and their two children.
Eric Landers, Vice President | Credit Risk Officer
Eric has worked at Pentucket Bank collectively for over seven years and brings fifteen years of experience to his role. Eric’s role includes the oversight of the underwriting, processing, and servicing of the Bank’s consumer and commercial loan portfolios. Eric is a graduate of Boston College with his MBA from UMass Boston. He is an active volunteer with the Pregnancy Care Center where he serves as Treasurer of the Board; he is also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Eric lives in Andover where he enjoys writing & performing music and spending time with his wife and their three children.
Melissa Kindig, Assistant Vice President | Mortgage Loan Processing Manager
Melissa has over twenty-two years of industry experience and is primarily responsible for preparing closing documents for attorneys, supervise loan processing, weekly rate reviews and changes, orderings services & appraisals, monthly HMDA review and other regular management reporting. Melissa has been with Pentucket Bank for nine years where she has established herself as a regular community volunteer; serving community meals, volunteering in the VFW Santa Parade, and for Budget Buddies. She is also a Board member for the Stevens Bennett Foundation. Melissa lives in Salisbury and has one adult son and she enjoys spending time reading, exercising and spending time with her husband Brian, family and friends on their boat in Newburyport.
Jody Ronayne, Assistant Vice President | Mortgage Loan Officer
Jody came to Pentucket Bank four years ago and has a total of fifteen years in the banking industry. Jody is responsible for consumer lending activity in and around the Bank’s Southern New Hampshire market. In addition to working with consumers to fulfill their home-ownership goals, Jody is focused on building relationships with local closing attorneys, realtors and working in partnership with various local organizations that offer home buyer education courses. Jody is a volunteer with the Salvation Army and the Hampstead Kiwanis Club. She lives in Pelham with her husband Paul and their three children. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping and reading.
Jose Pino, Assistant Vice President | Digital Marketing Product Manager
Jose has been with Pentucket Bank for six years, most recently in the role of Marketing & Community Relations Officer. Jose has over thirteen years in the banking industry, much of that time spent focused on digital marketing and electronic banking products and services. In his new role, Jose is responsible for managing digital marketing initiatives in support of the Bank’s brand and to help various business lines meet their goals. This includes research and making recommendations to management for product development, enhancements, go-to-market strategies and managing life cycles of digital banking products. Jose is an avid community volunteer serving on the Boards of HC Media, Community Inroads and Fidelity House/CRC, as well as volunteering at the Riverside Church in Haverhill. He lives in Methuen with his wife Edelyn and their two dogs, Mia & Max. Jose enjoys traveling, attending concerts and playing the drums.
Therese Chahine, Branch Manager II | Merrimack Street Branch
Therese has served in a various retail banking roles in her almost four years at Pentucket Bank. In her new role, Therese is responsible for the overall management of Pentucket Bank’s Main Office | Merrimack Street Branch team, ensuring they meet their daily responsibilities while maintaining a consistently superior customer experience in the Branch. She also oversees the operational and compliance related responsibilities of the Branch. Therese’s brings diverse retail banking experience paired with her strong operational background and team coaching strategies to the Branch. Therese volunteers with Bread and Roses and the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence. She is a resident of Methuen with her significant other Irah and her two sons.
Amanda McCafferty, Branch Manager I | Stadium Branch
Amanda is responsible for the overall management of Pentucket Bank’s Stadium Branch team, ensuring they meet their daily responsibilities while maintaining a consistently superior customer experience in the Branch. She also oversees the operational and compliance related responsibilities of the Branch. Amanda brings a superior level of integrity, accuracy and professionalism to her role. Amanda lives in North Andover with her husband Patrick and when not traveling, she enjoys spending time with their dog Reese.
Kerry Beaton, Branch Manager I | Westgate Branch
Kerry has been with Pentucket Bank for a year and a half, starting out as the Assistant Branch Manager for the Bank’s Westgate location. Kerry is responsible for the overall management of Pentucket Bank’s Westgate Branch team, ensuring they meet their daily responsibilities while maintaining a consistently superior customer experience in the Branch. She also oversees the operational and compliance related responsibilities of the Branch. Kerry is well known as a leader, an advocate and a resource for her team and her customers. Kerry has spent time volunteering with Cradles to Crayons. She is a resident of Plaistow and outside of work she enjoys attending concerts, arts & crafts and traveling with friends and family.
