Museum of Printing ~ Special Exhibit ~ Anna Hogan Celebration: A Life Engraved in Art
The public is cordially invited to attend our ‘Anna Hogan Celebration: A Life Engraved in Art’ on Saturday, December 8th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Local wood engraver and artist, Anna Hogan, passed away peacefully last December just a few weeks shy of her 96th birthday. This special exhibit will showcase Anna’s woodcut and engraving blocks, and prints, from the Museum’s archives including early pieces, published work, and prints selected for the Wood Engravers’ Network Second and Third Triennial Exhibits (note WEN’s Third Triennial Exhibit will be at the Museum next spring ~ watch for more info). Be with us on December 8th to celebrate Anna’s life and art in the midst of her spectacular wood engravings. The Museum is honored to house a substantial collection of her wood blocks and has a permanent Anna Hogan exhibit in the gallery. Enjoy tea, coffee and sweets in a festive holiday atmosphere. Prints and cards, including holiday cards, will be available for sale. www.museumofprinting.org mopprinting@gmail.com]]>
