MassAmerican Energy To Build Solar Systems with Veterans Northeast Outreach Center
MassAmerican Energy is pleased to announce a new solar partnership with the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center of Haverhill, MA. The VNOC provides a continuum of care to Veterans and their families, from the very basic food and shelter needs to advocacy, information, referral, career, and education services. The Center also sponsors a number of outreach initiatives to senior citizens, young people and families of Veterans.
The solar project at the VNOC main campus consists of 2 existing buildings which contain both housing and offices and 1 new building currently under construction that will provide 18 units of veterans housing. MassAmerican Energy is particularly proud to be working with this great non-profit organization by helping the VNOC to create a new revenue stream while at the same time making a commitment to the environment. John Ratka, Executive Director of the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center states, “We could not have done this solar project without MassAmerican’s unique solar financing program for non-profits. With zero money out of pocket for our organization, we will now be generating income, not just saving on our electricity bill.”
