The Museum of Printing Celebrates Print during the Haverhill Cultural Treasures Virtual Camp
The eight Haverhill museums and cultural sites, known as the “Haverhill Cultural Treasures,” are planning four days of activities for children, April 20 – 23.
The “Haverhill Cultural Treasures” include the Buttonwoods Museum, Dustin-Duston Garrison House, Haverhill Firefighting Museum, Museum of Printing, Rocks Village, Tattersall Farm, Whittier Birthplace, and Winnekenni Castle. Activities include writing poetry, designing a shoe, planting sunflowers, hearing the story of Hannah Duston, learning about fire safety, building a bridge, and celebrating the history of print. Presentations will take place virtually over Zoom, program start times will be at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, and each program will last approximately one hour. All materials needed for each activity will be provided and can be picked up Thursday, April 15 (10:00 am to 4:00pm) at Buttonwoods, 240 Water Street, Haverhill or Saturday, April 17 (11:00 am to 1:00 pm) at Dustin-Duston Garrison House, 665 Hilldale Ave, Haverhill.
