Chamber’s Annual Wreath Stroll Event Will Support Local Giving!
Donations of money, food, clothing, toys and gift cards will be collected to benefit local holiday needs.
The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce is beginning to tie on the bows and pin on the pine cones for the 2015 Holiday Wreath Stroll scheduled for December 9th. Holiday wreaths will be created by local businesses and community members to showcase their industry and/or their talents. All donated wreaths will be hung inside the Barking Dog Ale House on the night of the event for viewing and silent auction bidding. Decorated wreaths are beautiful and embellished with gift cards, scratch tickets and gift items, making them the perfect choice for holiday gift giving. They also make great hostess gifts in this busy holiday party season!
The evening includes fun and casual socializing full of holiday cheer, an assortment of finger foods and desserts, Champagne toast and holiday wreath auction. Several small businesses will also make this their holiday gathering for their employees and customers. All are welcome.
This event will be used to raise funds, holiday food for meals, toys and clothing to support the local organizations providing direct services to families in need throughout the Greater Haverhill area. For 2015 receiving organizations will include (but are not limited to): Community Action, Inc.; Common Grounds Ministries; Emmaus, Inc.; Ruth’s House, Veteran’s Northeast Outreach Center and Sacred Heart Food Pantry.
Wreath donations will be accepted through December 4, 2015 and can be delivered to the Chamber Office or the Barking Dog Ale House. All businesses making a wreath donation will be acknowledged in chamber publicity prior to the event, and highlighted the evening of the stroll. Tickets for the event are $20 each and can be purchased via the Chamber website at www.haverhillchamber.com or by calling the office at (978) 373-5663 or emailing info@haverhillchamber.com.
