Haverhill, MA– The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce has named Garrison Golf Center as its December Business of the Month.

Garrison Golf Center not only embodies a great local business, but it is a shining example of community commitment and involvement. Operated by Ted and Mary Murphy since 1969, Garrison Golf Center has been at the forefront of introducing people to the game of golf. The center has been especially involved with local schools, with the Murphys donating substantial time and efforts to the Haverhill High School Athletic Program & Golf Team. Garrison has also long been active in the Haverhill community, hosting the Haverhill Gazette Santa Fund Hole-In-One Contest, which has raised over $250,000.

Of the recognition, Chamber Director of Operations, Kate Martin said, “The Chamber is grateful to Garrison Golf Center for accommodating our women’s golf clinic and our 1^st Annual Nine & Wine charity event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Their love of golf is infectious.”
