Greater Haverhill Chamber Hosts 33rd Annual Business Awards 

HAVERHILL, MA – The Greater Haverhill Chamber, in partnership with Presenting Sponsor Haverhill Bank, will host the 33rd Annual Business Awards Breakfast on Friday, February 9th 2023 at the Atkinson Country Club in Atkinson, NH. 

The Chamber’s Awards ceremony has been the pinnacle of business recognition in the Greater Haverhill area for over three decades, highlighting exceptional business achievements, noteworthy community contributions and exceptional performance across a variety of industries. 

Among this year’s awards recipients, Bethany Communities has been named the Chamber’s Business of the Year. Bethany not only is making a tremendous impact in the city with the community they serve and the addition of Merrimack Place, but their team is outstanding. They are passionate both about Bethany Communities, but you can always find them stepping up and giving back to other organizations.   

“We are incredibly proud to honor these outstanding local businesses and organizations this year,” said Chamber President and CEO Alex Eberhardt. “All of them have positively impacted the greater Haverhill region in so many unsung ways, that we are excited to share those impacts for them and celebrate that success.” 

The Chamber continues to highlight veterans with the special recognition of the John E. Ratka Award.  Ratka served 26 years in the United States Navy and was the Executive Director of the Veteran Northeast Outreach Center who passed away on January 12, 2019.  This year’s winner, Ralph Basiliere, Ward 1 Haverhill City Councilor. 

This year’s Keynote Speaker is Kate Fox, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.

 

This year the chamber will honor the following organizations and individuals with awards, including:

Family-Owned Business:  MTM Insurance

Health:  The Movement Strength and Conditioning  

Manufacturing Champion:  John Michitson 

Pioneer Award:  HC Media 

Community Partner Award:  Barewolf Brewing

Pay it Forward Award:  Nunan’s Florist

Rising Star:  Crusttown Eats and Drinks

Rookie of the Year:  Drop Café

Change Agent Award:  Community Action, Inc.

Small Business:  Roasted Coffee Bar

Technology:  Uncommon Catalyst

Volunteer:  STEM Team

Woman in Business:  Lindsay Paris

John E. Ratka Award:  Ralph Basiliere

 

In addition to these businesses, the breakfast will honor the twelve businesses highlighted as “Business of the Month” for 2023. They include:
