The event is free and open to the public. Individuals who enjoy playing board games are invited and encouraged to attend and may either bring their own games or play those provided by the college. The marathon will feature a large and eclectic mix of new games and old favorites, tournaments, door prizes, and more. All activities are set to take place in Room E260 of the Science Building. Door prizes have been donated courtesy of Diversions Games of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The NECC Bacon Board Gamers Club, founded in 2011, strives to provide an environment of healthy, fun, and challenging competition for students using board games of all kinds. The club meets every first and third Friday of the month from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the Haverhill campus.
