L’Arche Boston North names new Executive Director
HAVERHILL, MA – (April 26, 2017) Joseph Kennedy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of L’Arche Boston North (formerly L’Arche Irenicon) announced the appointment of Jennifer Matthews as the new Executive Director and Community Leader of the Haverhill nonprofit. L’Arche Boston North provides homes where people with and without intellectual disabilities live and work together as peers, creating inclusive communities of faith and friendship. The agency has been located in Haverhill since 1983 and serves 17 adults with intellectual disabilities through their mission of lifelong homes.
Ms. Matthews has served as Program Coordinator for L’Arche Boston North for the past ten years. She is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, 2008 and is a candidate for MSW from Salem State University in 2019. She begins her new position on July 1, 2017.
Swanna Champlin, L’Arche Boston North Executive Director will be retiring from her position in June, 2017.
