Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Announces Businesses of the Year

The Annual Awards Breakfast was a great success, recognizing the wonderful businesses who work hard everyday, providing superior services and products as well as being involved with the Chamber!

Greater Haverhill Chamber Launches New Web Site

The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce announced that it has unveiled its new website.  With intuitive user interfaces and navigation, Chamber Members and the community can easily find the latest events and business news.  The new site includes the ability to sign up to receive text message reminders for events.

Chamber Members can utilize the new site to promote thier business through the Member2Member discount page, can post their events and news, and can now advertise on the site.

Chairman of the Greater Haverhill Chamber Board, Bob Iannaco of Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital noted, "The new website is tremendous.  Easy to navigate and gives all members a quick snapshot of upcoming events on the homepage.   I especially like the staff bios".

President Jim Jajuga, commented, "The new site shows off the excellence and expertise of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.  Our goal is to continue moving forward with expanded economic opportunities, and improved business climate and a great quality of life for our members and the citizens in the 14 communities we serve".

Businesses of the Month Announced

The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce announced that it has named its fourth quarter Businesses of the Month for 2009.   The awards go to:

Businesses of the month are chosen by the Member Services committee of the Chamber.  A Business of the Month is:

• A business who recognizes, values, and uses their membership to enhance their reputation and foster their growth and that of the overall community,
• A member who supports the Chamber and the community by their involvement as a volunteer, sponsor or participant in programs and events.

These businesses will be honored at the Annual Business Awards Breakfast on Friday, February 5, 2010.

National Make a Difference Day

To celebrate National Make a Difference Day on Oct 24, the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Suffolk University, and local service clubs, delivered about 850 potted mums to residents in Haverhill's nursing homes, Merrimack Valley Hospital and Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital.

Merrimack Valley Means Business

The new Merrimack Valley Means Business web site was unveiled, Thursday, Oct. 15 Northern Essex Community College. Over 70 attendees turned out to see the expanded site modeled after the pioneering Haverhill Means Business site launched in 2006.
