Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce to Honor Member Businesses on February 9, 2018

HAVERHILL – The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Presenting Sponsor Haverhill Bank, will host the 27th Annual Business Awards Breakfast on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club, Atkinson, NH.

 

This event is the pinnacle of business recognition in the Greater Haverhill area and highlights outstanding business achievements, noteworthy community contribution and exceptional industry performance across a variety of trades.  This year the chamber will honor several very deserving organizations and individuals with awards, including:

 

Business of the Year:                 YWCA Northeastern Massachusetts

Education:                       Whittier RegionalVocational Technical High School

Family Owned Business:   Butch’s Uptown

Healthcare:                     Serenity At Summit New England

Manufacturing:                         Runtal North America, Inc.

Pioneer of the Year:                  UMass Lowell

Women in Business:                  Ocasio’s True Martial Arts/Kimberly Ocasio

Art and Culture:                        The Steve Lyons Fund

Rising Star:                     Jason Petrou/CEO Beverages

Volunteer of the Year:               Mary Ellen Lawlor/Servpro of Haverhill

 

The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce has added two new categories this year.  “Volunteer of the Year” recognizes an outstanding individual whose unselfish and dedicated service has made a significant difference in the community.  The “Rising Star” award honors innovators and emerging leaders that have made exceptional progress in their field.  “We are thrilled to recognize Mary Ellen Lawlor of Servpro as the first Volunteer of the Year and Jason Petrou of CEO Beverages as the first recipient of the Rising Star award” said Beverly Donovan, President and CEO of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.  “Both Mary Ellen and Jason are exceptional examples of these awards and embody the admirable qualities we look for in a recipient.”

In addition to these businesses, the breakfast will honor the twelve businesses that received the “Business of the Month” awards for 2017.  They include; January: EZ Way Cleaners, February: Modern Woodmen of America, March: Supporting Strategies, April: WHAV, May: Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, June: Career Resource Corporation, July: Arbonne Independent Consultant Dianne Debs, August: The Eagle Tribune, September: Barking Dog Ale House, October: Coco, Early & Associates, November: YWCA Northeaster Massachusetts, December: Holy Family Hospital | Haverhill.

 

The details for the event are as follows: Friday, February 9, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Atkinson Resort & Country Club, Atkinson, NH. Tickets are $40 per person. Tables of 10 available for $375. Ticket costs include awards presentations, buffet breakfast, and speech delivered by our keynote speaker, Bobbie Carlton, founder of Carlton PR & Marketing, Innovation Nights and Innovation Women.
