The W.O.W. Committee was formed in 1996 by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce with the knowledge that when women of all ages and backgrounds gathered together amazing things could happen. W.O.W’s goal has always been to create an atmosphere where women, in all stages of their careers, can be inspired, recharged themselves and feel invigorated during a day of empowerment and celebration. In addition to the presentations, attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast and fabulous lunch; ample opportunity to network and mingle; and the W.O.W. Marketplace which features a private shopping experience for attendees.
The goal of this event is to provide a fun, hands-on art experience for the whole family! From booths with art projects that children can make and take home, to a variety of tasty foods to sample and purchase, to live entertainment, music and demonstrations by local artists; and more. Further, the local creative community will work to expose attendees to more than just fine arts, but also written & spoken arts, musical arts, dramatic & theatrical arts, martial arts, culinary arts and decorative arts. A fun downtown community event!
The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce invites the business community, civic leaders and general public to be a part of a very special Business Awards Celebration marking 26 years of highlighting and honoring local business owners and operators who demonstrate service, commitment and opportunity above and beyond their peers. Since 1991, local companies have been recognized by the Membership Services Committee of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce in a variety of categories.
Each year the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce ties on the bows and pins on the pine cones for the Holiday Wreath Stroll usually held second Tuesday in December. Holiday wreaths are created by local businesses and community members to showcase their industry and/or their talents. All donated wreaths are hung inside the Barking Dog Ale House on the night of the event for viewing and silent auction bidding. Decorated wreaths are beautiful and embellished with gift cards, scratch tickets and gift items, making them the perfect choice for holiday gift giving. They also make great hostess gifts during the busy holiday party season!
